Yarn: 1 skein Malabrigo Sock in “Velvet Grapes” (fingering weight, 100% superwash merino, 440 yards) Slightly smaller skeins of sock yarn would work also- you can stop knitting when you get close to running out.
Needles: US size 4 dpns (or whatever you need for your preferred smallcircumference- knitting method) plus 16” circular - you will be more comfortable if you also have a 24” and possibly longer handy, but don’t NEED them.
Other tools: Darning needle for weaving ends, small, sharp scissors, two different stitch markers designated “A” and “B”
Gauge: 19 st and 32 rows in 4 inches, lightly blocked (row gauge is not very important, you’ll just knit to length.)
