Over a series of three classes, you will learn to knit a basic bottom up raglan sleeve sweater. The classes are spread out over 5 weeks so that all participants have plenty of time to knit each section of their sweater and be ready to proceed to the next step.

Time: 10:30 - 12:30
You will be given instructions that include shaping, increasing and decreasing.
knit stitch, purl stitch, cast on, bind off, knitting in the round and use of double pointed needles; students must have a basic understanding of backing out of knit stitch, reading their work and fixing small mistakes.
- 800-1200 yards of chunky yarn (or DK held double***) This yardage allows for a longer sweater than the pattern suggests.

- US sz 9-16”, 32”, and DPNs
- US sz 10.5-16”, 24” 32”, and DPNs

Gauge swatch - Gauge 14 stitches over 4” in stockinette stitch
***if lighter weight yarn is held double, then yardage requirements should be doubled****
Work Shop Details
Confirm size each student wants to make; Cast on body as well as cast on one sleeve.
Get comfortable with sleeve construction. Each student responsible for beginning and knitting second sleeve on their own.
***Homework prior to class 2***
Complete body knitting and both sleeves.
