Product Description

Darla’s just a darlin’ little thing. You can wear the split brim folded up for a jaunty little cap, or folded down, with the slit to the side or back, for a slouchier look. A very simple knit,
suitable for novices, but with quirky enough to hold the interest of more advanced knitters as well (it’s great for tv-knitting.)

Yarn: Yarn shown is a Malabrigo merino test yarn called “Mmm”, which is not yet commercially available. You’ll need 160 yards of DK weight yarn. Some good subs: Malabrigo Silky Merino (1 skein = 150 yards- you might be able to get by with one skein, but I’d have an extra on hand just in case!) or Madelinetosh Tosh DK. (1 skein = 225 yards)

Needles: US size 6/4mm 16” circular needle and set of matching dpns (or whatever is necessary for your preferred method of small- circumference knitting)
OR size of needle required to get gauge.

Other tools: Darning needle for weaving ends, stitch marker

Gauge: 22 st and 34 rows to 4 inches in stockinette
