Sizes: for dpn sizes: US 0-5 and Lengths: 5” (6”) (7”)
Yarns used: 4-ply or fingering wool such as: Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift 25 g - 115 yds - 105 m, 100% Shetland wool, 4 colors for a gnome. Choose one from each section.
Body: earth 227, moorit 108, wren 246, sage 766, moss 147
Hat: madder 587, cardinal 323, poppy 524, paprika 261
Beard: granite 122 (dark grey), pebble 127 (light grey)
Face: sand 183
Tension/gauge: You’ll not be getting usual 4-ply gauge! Work 16 sts and 23 rows to measure 4x4” in very loose and very holey St st using US 7 or 4.5 mm needles.
Notions:
A set of US 7 (4.5 mm) needles or dpns, tapestry needle, dry felting needle for nose (optional), shirring elastic, embroidery needle, some embroidery floss for labeling
size, & an un-sharpened pencil for shaping the body. For needle-felted eyes you’ll need dry felting needles and a bit of black wool or roving (this is what I did.) or beads.
