Gao is an easy triangular scarf pattern designed with the beginner in mind.  Worked in simple stockinette stitch, yarn over increases create a lovely decorative eyelet border.  Just as fun for the advanced knitter when experimenting with different color options.  Consider alternating two different colors every two rows to create a striping effect.
