Finished measurements flat: 3” (3.25”) (3.5”) (3.75”) wide, by 4.75” (5”) (5.25”) (5.5”) long. When deciding on size, place hand flat on top of a tape measure and measure width of hand at the knuckles. Cuffs work best when they are quite snug. Pictured in S.
Tension/gauge: Work 26 sts to measure 4” in St st using US 2 or 2.75mm needles with MC. Use needles necessary to get gauge.
Yarns used: 4-ply or fingering weight wool such as: Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift 25 g - 115 yds - 105 m, 100% wool, No. of balls: 1 ball of each of the following:
MC: Oyster 290
CC1: Mogit 107, CC2: Eesit 105, CC3: Sand 183,
CC4: Willow 769, CC5 Eucalyptus 794
CC6: Salmon 301 (tongue) CC7: Earth 227 (eyes & nose)
You don’t need much of some of these colors as some of them are used for embroidery and duplicate stitch only. You might try embroidery floss or un-plying some thicker wool and using that?
Notions:
