My youngest son likes soft materials. While cotton is his favorite, it doesn’t really provide the necessary warmth for winter. This cotton/wool mixture is a great compromise, soft as cotton but with the extra warmth of wool. You can be as adventurous as you like with your color combinations - the larger blocks of solid color help to unify the whole piece. The cardigan shown is for a boy but by adjusting the colors and the side on which the buttons fasten, it is truly a unisex pattern.
