Materials
120[145, 170, 195]m / 130[160, 185, 215] yards of worsted, dk, or aran weight yarn. The heavier your yarn is the denser and warmer your hat will be. The total amount of yarn you will need will depend on the length that you make your hat.
Set of 4 3.75mm double pointed needles.
3.75mm 40cm / 16” circular needle.
Adjust needle sizes as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Cable needle.
Stitch marker.
Tapestry needle.
Plastic canvas - this can usually be found in the embroidery or kids’ section of craft shops.
Gauge
21 sts and 27 rounds = 10 cm / 4” in stocking stitch.
Size
To fit a head circumference of approx:
46[51, 56, 61] cm.
18[20, 22, 24] inches.
The stitch pattern that the hat is worked in is very stretchy and the hat is designed to have a significant amount of negative ease to give a snug fit so it might look small to begin with.
